Late September saw the release of the tight and gripping End of Watch from Open Road Films. Written and directed by David Ayer, who also wrote Training Day (2001), it follows the lives of two cops — played by Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pen-a — assigned to gang-ridden South Los Angeles.
