Before every major trade show, we here at postPerspective play a little game. Who is Blackmagic going to buy this time? Well, we didn’t see this coming, but it’s cool. Ultimatte and Fairlight are now owned by Blackmagic. Ultimatte makes broadcast-quality, realtime blue- and greenscreen removal hardware that is used in studios to seamlessly composite reporters and talk show hosts into virtual sets.
