For the latter, he was nominated for an Academy Award. In 2010, Joe constructed the crowd-sourced film Life in a Day (Kevin Macdonald, 2011) out of 80,000 YouTube clips. Walker is currently working on the sequel to Blade Runner, directed by Canadian director Denis Villeneuve, for whom he earlier cut Sicario (2015) and Arrival (2016).
