Black Magic Design recently announced that Fusion 8.2 is now shipping. This makes the first time that Fusion 8 is available on all platforms. This includes, Mac OS, Windows, and now Linux. Now that Fusion is on Linux, Mac OS X and Windows, VFX shops can have Fusion projects in a mixed OS environment.
