Javier Mendez has been appointed head of business development at international reseller Nacho Mazzini Family (NMF) (www.nachomf.com), where he is tasked with spearheading new North American sales for Colorfront (www.colorfront.com), the Academy and Emmy award-winning developer of high performance, on-set dailies and transcoding systems for motion pictures and high-end episodic TV and commercials.
NMF, which operates from offices in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Miami, Florida, USA, is the exclusive reseller for Colorfront products across Latin America and selected US regions, and the distributor and reseller channels driver in Asia Pacific (APAC) and Europe Middle East & Africa (EMEA). Colorfront products include Express Dailies and On-Set Dailies systems, plus the market-leading Transkoder file-conversion and mastering system.
Mendez brings extensive workflow experience to NMF in support of Colorfront sales and marketing. He draws from hands-on knowledge gained during his previous 12-year tenure at CineSys Inc, and as a certified trainer in Autodesk’s M&E Division Products and as an Apple Certified Support Professional.
Mendez will now focus on developing NMF’s array of post-production, OTT and broadcast markets, and assist Colorfront customers in their delivery of high-quality content to entertainment corporations such as Netflix, Amazon, Apple and Hulu. He will be based out of Miami, and will cover Canada as well as the United States, with the exception of California, where Colorfront is represented by ALT Systems. Colorfront’s US customers include Deluxe, Technicolor, Disney, Fox, Sony, HBO, Warner Bros., Netflix and Amazon.
Speaking about his appointment at NMF, Mendez said, “Colorfront products deliver peerless performance in file-conversion and mastering for digital cinema, OTT and high-end TV production and post. I am certain their winning combination of cutting-edge software, color and image science, plus continual R&D, will be of significant appeal to our customers and the challenges they face in fast and efficient UHD/HDR/IMF turnarounds.â€
Aron Jaszberenyi, managing director of Colorfront, commented, “We have experienced great success in Hollywood, especially in high-end studio feature, OTT and broadcast entertainment, where NMF-Colorfront directly address immediate IMF and HDR mastering needs, particularly the dynamic demand for ever-faster delivery, and all that this requires. With Javier’s appointment, NMF continues the mission of bringing essential know-how to new and emerging markets for Colorfront. Javier’s many years of experience in the world of high-end post-production workflow is a key asset as we seek to expand our opportunities.â€
Nacho Mazzini, CEO of NMF, said, “Javier has gained lots of respect from the broadcast the post production community, and his addition is of immense value to Colorfront users and customers.
