Special Effects Enliven Exodus Epic

Ridley Scott’s “Exodus: Gods and Kings” is every bit as extravagant as you’d expect, the epic story of Moses in Egypt now viewable through 3D glasses. But get ready for a spoiler: the Red Sea doesn’t open up like a zipper, the way it famously did in “The Ten Commandments” in 1956. Mr. Scott and his team decided to ditch the holy staff that Charlton Heston waved to part the waters for the fleeing Hebrew people.
