It is with a heavy heart that we announce we will no longer be updating Aotg.com. Back in 2007, when we started, there was a lack of access to information about film, television, and commercial editing. We wanted to fix that by creating a central location for content about editing to be stored.

Since then, we've watched the amount of content about editing on the internet grow exponentially. We've also watched social media tools come and go with that growth. Does anyone remember Google Wave!? These social media tools changed how people access and search for media and information. People tend to turn to Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, and Instagram for their news and information, and those are all great tools to promote your sites, but as a site that aggregates links to other sites for users, it just doesn't work for us.

We will keep the site live but archive the ability to add links and comments. We will keep our database live with the links for those who desire to use it to search for editing information and research.

Our podcast, The Cutting Room, will move over to the Filmmakeru.com website and will continue to be a place for interviews with editors and other film professionals.

Everyone who worked for Aotg.com loved what we created and are proud that we could help so many editors find content that spoke to them.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the various post events worldwide in the coming years!

Fuji TV’s Hit Drama Series Don't Call It Mystery Graded With DaVinci Resolve Studio

Blackmagic Design today announced that DaVinci Resolve Studio editing, color grading, visual effects (VFX) and audio post production software was used to grade the popular drama series "Don't Call It Mystery," which is currently airing on Fuji Television Network (Fuji TV). The series was also graded using a DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel by Tomoyuki Abe, a colorist at the production/post production studio VASC.

Corridor Digital Uses DaVinci Resolve Studio for End to End Post for Its YouTube Channels

Blackmagic Design today announced that Los Angeles based production studio Corridor Digital is using DaVinci Resolve Studio for editing, color grading, visual effects (VFX) and audio post production for its popular YouTube channels, Corridor Digital and Corridor Crew. With almost 15 million subscribers between the two channels, Corridor Digital uses DaVinci Resolve Studio and its collaboration features to produce up to 10 videos a month for its fans.

Tones and I's Fly Away Used DaVinci Resolve Studio

Blackmagic Design today announced that Visible Studios used DaVinci Resolve Studio for color correction and editing on “Fly Away,” the newest music video by global singing sensation Tones and I. DaVinci Resolve Studio was also used for VFX and sky replacements for the video, which includes dramatic scenes of people levitating and flying.

Blackmagic Design today announced that DaVinci Resolve Studio was used for end to end post production on Elton John’s performance of “I'm Still Standing” for One World: Together At Home, a global broadcast and digital special to support frontline healthcare workers and the WHO. With more than two million views on YouTube alone, the entire project was completed by a team of four people in just 20 hours.

Ghost Funk Orchestra’s “For My Friend” music video is a touching tribute to the late singer, songwriter and guitarist Bill Withers who recently passed away. Known for hits such as “Lean on Me” and “Lovely Day,” Withers’ friend and Ghost Funk Orchestra’s bandleader Seth Applebaum wanted to honor his friend by covering Withers’ classic hit “For My Friend.” The only catch was the 60-member band couldn't meet in person due to COVID-19 and social distancing restrictions.

Blackmagic Design today announced that South Korea based independent record label Areia Creations shot its latest music videos for the artists Musky and Ferry with a combination of Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K and URSA Mini Pro cameras using Blackmagic RAW codec. The videos were then edited and graded using Davinci Resolve Studio with a DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel.

Blackmagic Design announced today that URSA Mini 4.6K was used by Kei Takahashi on the shooting of a promotion movie for TROJAN men’s suits private brand by the Japanese major department store Daimaru Matsuzakaya. DaVinci Resolve Studio, DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel, UltraStudio 4K and MultiDock were used for editing and color grading, with HyperDeck Studio 12G used for backup recording.
