Blackmagic Design today announced that the SXSW award winning short film “Don’t Peek” was shot on the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K by Julian Terry during quarantine in 2020. The horror film, which was also graded using DaVinci Resolve Studio, was bought by blockbuster filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov and will be turned into a full length feature film.#blackmagic design#davinci resolve studio#blackmagic raw#pocket cinema camera 4k

NEW YORK CITY— Goldcrest Post has added colorist Steve Beganyi to its team of senior artists. Bringing more than 20 years of post-production experience, much of it centering on documentary films and television series, Beganyi joins a department dedicated to sound and picture finishing for docs. His recent credits include Jerusalem: City of Faith and Fury for CNN and My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman for Netflix.

Blackmagic Design today announced that the new CBC original series “Arctic Vets” was shot using its URSA Mini Pro 12K digital film camera in Blackmagic RAW. At its most basic, the term describes the use of high contrast lighting to simulate depth on a 2D surface. The word even contains its own definition: “chiaro” means light, and “oscuro” means dark.
