It is with a heavy heart that we announce we will no longer be updating Aotg.com. Back in 2007, when we started, there was a lack of access to information about film, television, and commercial editing. We wanted to fix that by creating a central location for content about editing to be stored.
Since then, we've watched the amount of content about editing on the internet grow exponentially. We've also watched social media tools come and go with that growth. Does anyone remember Google Wave!? These social media tools changed how people access and search for media and information. People tend to turn to Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, and Instagram for their news and information, and those are all great tools to promote your sites, but as a site that aggregates links to other sites for users, it just doesn't work for us.
We will keep the site live but archive the ability to add links and comments. We will keep our database live with the links for those who desire to use it to search for editing information and research.
Our podcast, The Cutting Room, will move over to the Filmmakeru.com website and will continue to be a place for interviews with editors and other film professionals.
Everyone who worked for Aotg.com loved what we created and are proud that we could help so many editors find content that spoke to them.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the various post events worldwide in the coming years!
Yours truly,
Gordon Burkell

Uk purveyors of Horror, Bloody Cuts, have certainly made a impression in recent months. With a gallery series of self-contained short horror films, the Bloody Cuts team have gathered a sizable online audience share and attracted the attention - and financial support - of such high profile talents as Stephen Fry.

Big changes are afoot in my life. Recently a long term problem, a tingling in my hands while working at my PC, reappeared. I couldn't help but notice that it got worse when sitting at my desk – and so for the last three weeks I have begun standing at my desk, Walter Murch like. Yes I know my monitors should be higher, and I will correct this in due course, but for now the tingling has subsided dramatically.

(Article in Spanish) The award recognizes the work of women in the film industry, granted, in Venice, the award for Best Editing to collaborator Martin Scorsese, who always remembers and celebrates the strong friendship that unites them, which is what really becomes the key to success. Schoonmaker said "I do not think it would have been not to have known filmmaker." The two met at NYU in 1962, while Schoonmaker hesitated between being diplomatic or engage in primitive art.

Now that you've got a rough cut together, you should take a closer look at what you’ve done. Press Home (or Fn-Left on a number-pad-free keyboard) to skip back to the beginning, and press Space. When you get to a part you’d like to review, press Space to pause, then / (slash) to play around the edit.

Look Ma, I'm on TV! Well, not exactly, but I will be on BluRay soon. That's pretty good, right? They asked me a few months ago if I wanted to be interviewed on camera for a bonus feature on the "Ultimate NFL" BluRay, soon to be released and available here, and I immediately heard the voice of my RTF 101 teacher telling me something like "David, you're sort of funny and a really nice guy and all in person, but you should definitely work behind the camera.
